With the 50th Anniversary of the moon landing fast approaching, I spent some time looking around for space related websites specifically around the Apollo 11 mission.

I was lucky enough to not only find the https://apolloinrealtime.org/11/ website but I also managed to get some time to chat with it’s creator Ben Feist.

I am stoked to be able to talk with Ben on what it takes to make a website like this and what it can lead to.

Kick back and relax as I have a chat with Ben about what is involved in collecting tens of thousands of hours of audio and a large volume of photos and video and organising it into a site that presents the event as it unfolded in 1969.

Note: there was some interference from a mobile phone during the interview. I was very aware of it during editing.
